Oceans: Beyond the Sight
Motion Project
This artwork is based on my personal experience and aims to create a new definition through interaction with the viewers. As a child, schools of fish in aquariums were something I deeply feared. The sight of fish moving in groups sparked an imagined fear of being attacked, leaving a fragment of emotion that lingered thereafter. However, after hearing stories of others visiting aquariums just as healing activities, this fragment of emotion became the motivationfor creating the artwork.
Small fish swim in schools and disappear off the screen. This artwork is designed to provide the viewers to connect their personal experiences with the artwork, without being forced into a single interpretation, thereby actively creating meaning. Through a video showing the movement of schools of fish, the viewers are invited to engage with the work and craft their own narrative, fostering an interactive experience.
